JAPTH is a Dutch urban design collective that launched a collection of distinctive design lamps in 2018.

“THE JAPTH FOUNDERS AART & EDUARD noticed that the range of possibilities and features of LED lighting remainED underexposed in many designs. THEIR AMBITION WAS to make a change with this collection that exudes pure perfection and in which technology is a key element”.

JAPTH – Just A Perfect Thing – is ever since its start renowned for its modern and sustainable lighting designs, created with a focus on local craftsmanship and circular materials.

Pure perfection

JAPTH aims to design high quality LED lamps made from sustainable materials with delicate shapes each with their own distinctive character. The result is a unique lighting collection. JAPTH joined forces with well-known Dutch designers and up-and-coming young talent. The JAPTH collection consists of various unique lamps perfectly made for home use and for the contract market. 

Sustainable and eco-friendly design

All lamps are manufactured in the Netherlands in a sustainable and eco-friendly way. Right at the start in 2018 the lamps have been handmade by people who, for whatever reason, have difficulty finding a job independently.  The collection consists of energy-efficient lamps. JAPTH strives to ensure that all lamps are manufactured in a fair and sustainable way with the least possible adverse impact on people and the environment.  

JAPTH, a brand of ANVIA

As of July 1st, 2025, ANVIA BV officially acquired the complete lighting collection from JAPTH. This strategic step expands ANVIA’s brand and product portfolio with contemporary and innovative luminaires, proudly designed and manufactured in the Netherlands. The JAPTH collection perfectly aligns with ANVIA’s philosophy of timeless design and superior quality. JAPTH’s designs share the same DNA of craftsmanship, functionality, and aesthetics that ANVIA has embodied for decades — and continues to do since its revival in 2015. As from July 2025 ANVIA will further develop the JAPTH collection by adding new designs and cooperations with new designers. ANVIA actively responds to the growing demand for sustainable, locally produced, and high-quality lighting solutions. With the acquisition of JAPTH, ANVIA continues to strengthen its position as an ambitious and forward-thinking player in the Dutch design lighting industry.
